Nine gods, five slots, and no build survives past the run it's built for

Athena, Zeus, Poseidon, Aphrodite, Ares, Artemis, Dionysus, Hermes, and Demeter can all reach Zagreus once he's out of the House of Hades, and each one is built around a signature effect: Aphrodite's Weak, or the Chill that stacks up under Demeter's ice Boons. Every Boon fills one of five slots, Attack, Special, Cast, Dash, or Call, and it changes how that move works rather than just padding a number on it. Win or die, the build resets completely and the next attempt starts the hunt for synergy over again.
Boons come in four rarities, Common, Rare, Epic, and Heroic, and each tier scales the numbers hard. Divine Strike's bonus Attack Damage, for example, climbs from 40% at Common to 56%, 76%, and 96% at Heroic. A Pom of Power levels up a Boon you're already holding without waiting for a better roll, and the Fated Persuasion Mirror of Night talent lets you reroll a Boon offer instead of settling for whatever the room gives you.
Duo Boons fuse two gods' kits into one effect neither god could pull off alone, and Hades has 28 of them, but the offer won't appear until you're already carrying the right prerequisite Boon from both gods. Legendary Boons work the same way for a single god: land that god's specific setup Boon first and their capstone becomes eligible to drop. There are 11 in total, most gods get one, but Poseidon and Hermes each have two. Build toward the prerequisites on purpose instead of hoping the Fates cooperate.
Every god's Boon fills one specific slot, Attack, Special, Cast, Dash, or Call, and you can only hold one Boon per slot at a time. Take Zeus's Attack Boon and Athena's Attack offer is locked out until you swap it, no matter how strong it looks. That forces real trade-offs early. Pick two or three gods you want steering the build, and pass on the flashy one-off from a god you've got no other synergy with.
