Megabonk is vedinad's survivors-like roguelike, out on Steam since 18 September 2025. Your weapons fire automatically while hordes close in, and each level-up offers a choice of weapon and tome upgrades. Chests and shrines add items on top, which is where builds start getting silly. Between runs you clear quests to put new characters, weapons, tomes, items, hats and skins up for sale in the silver shop. The writing is about as crude as the title suggests.

Quests are the spine of Megabonk's progression, and they get specific. Eagle Claw wants 10,000 kills as Birdo. The Shotgun has a 5% chance to drop from a Tumbleweed on Desert Stage 2, and only there. Characters chain into each other the same way: clear Forest Tier 1 and CL4NK goes on sale, then teleport to the second stage of Forest Tier 2 as CL4NK to open the Desert. Sir Oofie and Fox are the only two characters free from the start. The silver shop stretches a run further with extra weapon and tome slots, plus Refresh, Skip and Banish for bad level-up offers. Challenges sit on top of all that, paying between 1.5x and 2x silver for runs with nasty modifiers.

Rarity, silver price and unlock quest for every item. Chase Anvil first.

Base damage, cooldown and the stat pool each weapon's level-ups roll from.

Starting weapon, passive and stat tweaks per character. Fox and Sir Oofie are free.

What each tome level adds. Three are switched off in this build.

Character passives like Gamba, Hoarder and Speed Demon.

Tick off quests as you go, sorted Easy through Cooked.

Modified runs for 1.5x to 2x silver, Pacifist and Crypt Escape included.
HP, damage and speed for every mob and stage boss. Spooky Steve's HP is not a typo.
Stage timers, bosses and swarm events on the Forest, Desert and Graveyard.

Permanent silver upgrades: Refresh, Skip, Banish and extra slots.

Get punched by Kevin 100,000 times for a hat. The other hat quests are tamer.

Every character's skins and the speedrun, kill and Rank 100 quests behind them.

Steam achievements and the in-game unlock each one gives.
