PlateUp! is a co-op roguelite restaurant sim from It's happening, out on Steam since August 2022. A run lasts 15 days: cook, plate and serve alongside up to three other chefs, then spend what you earn on appliances from the shop before the next dinner service starts. It plays like Overcooked crossed with a deckbuilder, and the Food and Customer Cards you draft between days can turn a burger stand into something unrecognizable by Day 10.

Picking a dish on Day 1 decides the rest of your shopping list. Choose Pizza over Stir Fry and half the appliance shop stops mattering, because every dish only calls on the processes and appliances it requires. Items move through that same chain, chopped and cooked by whatever appliances you bought to run those processes, which makes an efficient kitchen a layout problem as much as a cooking one. From Day 4 on, unlock cards are the one thing that can change the plan mid-run: a Food Card can add a new dish, a Customer Card can wreck a service that was running fine an hour before. Clear Day 15 and you franchise, carrying the restaurant's name, dish, theme and every card you picked into the next run instead of starting from a bare kitchen. Cosmetics and decor sit outside all of it, changing how the place looks and nothing about how it runs.

Appliances get bought from the shop or unlocked through research, priced by rarity.
