Every set bonus, sorted by class and when you can craft it
The helmet sets your class and the set bonus, and the chestplate and boots fill out the armor. That makes the helmet the one decision across 77 sets built from 168 pieces. 31 bonuses sit on the armor set ability key, and 42 are computed while the game runs, so the page marks them and sends you to the tooltip.
Each hit loses half your armor value in damage, after the attacker’s armor penetration comes off.
You need a head, chest and feet piece filled to get anything. The bonus follows the helmet, so wearing a magic helmet on a melee chestplate gives you the magic set. Several sets share chestplates. If the bonus has an ability, it fires on the armor set ability key.
Within a class every set ends on the same armor at tier 10, so late-game comparisons come down to the bonus. The bonus tier is the rounded average of your three pieces’ tiers, and armor enchantments count twice from tier 5.
