Combined trinkets, shields and what fits in four slots
Overview
Most good trinkets are built, not found: 25 of the 111 are made from other trinkets, and only 61 sit at the end of a chain. Shields number 11, and 35 trinkets compute their effect while the game runs, so the tooltip is the number to trust.
How Trinkets Work
Combining Trinkets
Parts combine into a bigger trinket at a workstation. The finished trinket takes the place of its parts, and the parts stop stacking alongside it.
Shields
Hold the trinket ability key to block. Each shield has its own percentage of damage taken while blocking, from 0% on the Aged Champion Shield up to 65% on the Parry Buckler. Stamina drains while you hold it.
Trinket Slots
You start with four trinket slots, and pendants raise that. Every slot spent on a shield or boots is one fewer for damage, so choose what the fight needs.
