Every crop ranked by what one tile earns per day, with the numbers shown.
Data from build 16826371, updated
Crops are the one thing on this site that can be ranked with arithmetic instead of an argument, so that is what this does. Every placement below comes from one number: gold per tile per day, over a full 28-day season, at base quality. The tier boundaries and the notes are editorial, and a few crops are worth more than their number says. Corn and Ancient Fruit are the obvious two, and both say so.
Browse all 50 cropsFor each crop: harvests in a 28-day season, times yield per harvest, times sell price, minus seeds (one for a crop that regrows, one per harvest for one you replant), divided by 28. Seed cost is the General Store price, which is twice the seed's value in the game files, with a listed exception for anything bought somewhere else or not bought at all. No fertiliser, no Tiller, no quality stars and no extra-harvest luck, because those scale nearly the whole table at once and change the gold without changing the order.
gross = harvests x yield per harvest x sell price seeds = 1 if the crop regrows, otherwise one per harvest profit = gross - seeds x seed cost gold/day = profit / 28
Blueberry, worked through: four harvests, three berries each, 50g a berry is 600g off one tile. Take off the 80g seed and spread the 520g across the season and it comes to 18.6g a day, which clears the 18g S-tier line by half a gold. Every crop below carries the same line, so you can check a placement instead of trusting it.
One tile, one season, base quality. The line under each crop is the whole calculation, so you can see where the number came from and argue with it.
Everything here clears 18g per tile per day. Most of them are gated behind something: a festival, the Calico Desert, Ginger Island, or an artifact you have to dig up first. Get past the gate and these are what a money farm is made of.
71.4g a day. 1,000g seed, sells for 3,000g, 24 days, 1 harvest a season: 2,000g profit. Nothing else is close, and nothing else asks for a 1,000g Traveling Cart seed that shows up when it feels like it. One tile, one fruit, 3,000g.
32.1g a day. free seed, sells for 300g, 14 days then every 7, 3 harvests a season: 900g profit. Ginger Island only, and the seeds cost Magma Caps rather than gold, which is why the profit line and the gross line are the same number. On the island it is the best thing you can plant.
25.0g a day. 400g seed, sells for 750g, 13 days, 2 harvests a season: 700g profit. The one to buy from Sandy in bulk. Two harvests at 750g each on a 400g seed, and it is the base for the best keg output in the game.
22.1g a day. 100g seed, sells for 120g, 8 days then every 4, 6 harvests a season: 620g profit. Buy every seed you can carry at the Egg Festival on Spring 13. Planted the same week it pays for itself three times over before Summer.
21.4g a day. free seed, sells for 15g x4, 10 days then every 2, 10 harvests a season: 600g profit. Four beans a harvest, every two days, off a seed you never buy. Keep five in the ground, feed the rest to kegs, and it quietly out-earns crops worth twenty times as much each.
19.6g a day. free seed, sells for 550g, 28 days then every 7, 1 harvest a season: 550g profit. The number understates it badly. 28 days to the first fruit means one harvest in the season you plant it, then it regrows every 7 days forever, across three seasons, in or out of a greenhouse. Judge it on year two, not on this line.
18.6g a day. 80g seed, sells for 50g x3, 13 days then every 4, 4 harvests a season: 520g profit. Three berries a harvest, four harvests, on an 80g seed. The whole of Summer runs on it.
18.2g a day. 240g seed, sells for 75g x2, 7 days then every 5, 5 harvests a season: 510g profit. Two a harvest and five harvests off one seed. The most gold Fall can put in the ground.
12g to 18g a day, and you can buy every one of them at Pierre's the season they come up. This is the tier a normal run actually lives in.
17.9g a day. 60g seed, sells for 80g, 10 days then every 3, 7 harvests a season: 500g profit. Seven harvests off a 60g starter. Slower per harvest than Cranberries, cheaper to start.
17.1g a day. 100g seed, sells for 260g, 9 days, 3 harvests a season: 480g profit. Year two onwards, and worth the wait: three harvests at 260g on a 100g seed.
15.7g a day. 100g seed, sells for 320g, 13 days, 2 harvests a season: 440g profit.
15.0g a day. free seed, sells for 70g, 8 days then every 4, 6 harvests a season: 420g profit. Fall forage seeds, so it costs nothing and regrows four days apart. Free money, if a slow trickle.
13.9g a day. 30g seed, sells for 160g, 8 days, 3 harvests a season: 390g profit.
13.9g a day. 60g seed, sells for 25g, 11 days then every 1, 18 harvests a season: 390g profit. Regrows daily, which is 18 harvests a season. Terrible to sell raw at 25g, outstanding into kegs as Pale Ale.
12.9g a day. free seed, sells for 45g, 6 days then every 3, 8 harvests a season: 360g profit.
12.1g a day. 80g seed, sells for 250g, 12 days, 2 harvests a season: 340g profit.
7g to 12g a day. None of these lose money and several are the best thing available in their season. They just sit behind something better most of the time.
11.4g a day. 70g seed, sells for 150g, 7 days, 4 harvests a season: 320g profit.
11.4g a day. 20g seed, sells for 100g, 6 days, 4 harvests a season: 320g profit.

10.7g a day. 150g seed, sells for 75g, 12 days then every 3, 6 harvests a season: 300g profit. Grows in all four seasons, which no other purchasable crop does, and only in the Desert.
10.0g a day. 40g seed, sells for 40g, 5 days then every 3, 8 harvests a season: 280g profit.
10.0g a day. 20g seed, sells for 60g, 5 days then every 5, 5 harvests a season: 280g profit.

7.1g a day. free seed, sells for 50g, 7 days, 4 harvests a season: 200g profit.
Under 7g a day. Plant these for a bundle, a gift, a recipe or an Artisan Goods pipeline, not for the raw sale price.
6.8g a day. 80g seed, sells for 175g, 12 days, 2 harvests a season: 190g profit.
6.4g a day. 200g seed, sells for 290g, 12 days, 2 harvests a season: 180g profit.

3.8g a day. 20g seed, sells for 35g, 4 days, 7 harvests a season: 105g profit. Your first crop, and the game's way of teaching you the loop. 105g of profit says the rest of the table exists for a reason.
3.8g a day. 10g seed, sells for 25g, 4 days, 7 harvests a season: 105g profit.
Below 3.5g a day, and the last two actually lose gold at base quality. Some are here for the Community Center, one is here because the game hands it to you, and one is a flower you buy for 200g and sell for 80g.
2.9g a day. 30g seed, sells for 50g, 7 days, 4 harvests a season: 80g profit.
1.8g a day. 150g seed, sells for 50g, 14 days then every 4, 4 harvests a season: 50g profit. The one crop this table is unfair to. It grows through Summer and Fall, so a single planting gets eight harvests across two seasons rather than the four counted here.
1.4g a day. 20g seed, sells for 30g, 6 days, 4 harvests a season: 40g profit. Twenty gold of seed for 120g of flowers over a season. It is a gift and a bundle, not an income.
1.0g a day. free seed, sells for 1g x7, 7 days, 4 harvests a season: 28g profit. Sells for 1g. You grow it for Fiber, which you need by the hundred for crafting, and never for money.
0.3g a day. free seed, sells for 1g, 4 days, 7 harvests a season: 7g profit. Mr. Qi's quest crop. It is worth 1g because it is not meant to be sold.
-1.1g a day. 40g seed, sells for 30g, 8 days, 3 harvests a season: -30g profit. Sells for less than its seeds cost to replace. Grow it for Rice, the Farmer's Lunch, or the bundle, never for gold.
-12.9g a day. 200g seed, sells for 80g, 8 days, 3 harvests a season: -360g profit. A 200g seed that sells for 80g. It is here for Oil and for the Fodder bundle, and you get the seeds back on harvest, which is the only reason anyone plants one.
