Melinoë's Codex files her enemies under two chapters. Stygian Dangers covers the Underworld route through Erebus, Oceanus, the Fields of Mourning and Tartarus. Surface Threats picks up in the City of Ephyra and climbs through the Rift of Thessaly and Mount Olympus to the Summit. Bosses sit outside both, and theirs are the Health bars to plan a build around: Chronos has 20,000, Heracles 34,000, and Typhon 65,000.
Armor is a second bar sitting on top of Health, and it has to break before Health takes any damage. Minibosses lean on it hardest. Mega-Dracon carries 10,150 Armor over 3,850 Health, and The Yargonaut hides just 1,000 Health under 8,800 Armor.
Most regular foes have an Elite version. Nearly all of them keep the same Health and gain Armor, so an Elite Whisper shows up with 80 Armor and an Elite Horror with 2,800. Pinhead, Polyp, Shadow-Spiller and Phantom are the odd ones out, with their Health changed too.
An enemy's Codex lore opens on a kill count, and Elite kills go toward the same total. Most minibosses need 2. Fodder takes a while longer. Whispers want 80, and Pinheads want 300, the steepest count in the Codex.
