Food, tools, flares, ropes, and the four Mystical Amulets all count as items in PEAK, anything you can pick up on the climb. 148 show up here with their art and the prompt the game puts on screen while you're holding one: eat, feed to a scout, light, shoot, tie a knot, ACTIVATE. PEAK doesn't attach damage numbers or effect text to most of these. You learn a lantern's brightness or a flare's burn time by using it instead.
These filters follow the prompt PEAK shows while you’re holding an item, since the game itself never sorts them into classes: eat, drink, heal, light, shoot, climb, or nothing at all for the odds and ends. Most of those prompts have a second version aimed at a teammate, which is how you toss a berry to a scout who can’t reach one.
Scout’s Ambition, Generosity, Initiative, and Tenacity each stand at a separate Amulet Statue, one per biome across the first four regions. Every use burns Petrify: as little as 7 for Initiative, up to 45 if Generosity duplicates a mystical item, so don’t pop one on a whim. Collect all four in one expedition and you can forge Scout’s Honor. See the Biomes page for which statue sits where.
