Ingredient
Broccoli - Chopped
What you get when you chop Broccoli - Raw.
Prep chain
Steps come from the item and the game’s process graphs. An item with none is a raw ingredient, a tool, or something made by splitting or combining.
Chopped, cooked, burned or dirtied: every item has a state
Data from build 24651854, updated
441 items exist in PlateUp!, and almost none of them stay the way they started. A Mushroom becomes Mushroom - Chopped, then cooks into Mushroom - Cooked Wrapped; a Roast Leg goes Raw, then Cooked, then Depleted once its 6 portions are taken. Cookware ages too: a Frying Pan burns if you leave it, and needs cleaning or a soak before it’s usable again, and every plate that leaves your pass comes back dirty. Knowing which provider dispenses an ingredient and which dishes call for it is half of running a kitchen well.
Each item page lists its prep steps from the item itself and the game’s process graphs. Chop a Mushroom and you get Mushroom - Chopped; cook that and you get Mushroom - Cooked Wrapped. Some chains run longer. A Roast Leg moves through Raw, Cooked and Depleted before it’s gone. Leave something on the heat too long and it turns to Burned Food instead of moving forward at all. Overchopping destroys the item, and it only happens with Flaming Knives.
Not everything in a PlateUp! kitchen is food. Frying Pans, plates and other tools carry their own item states, and they get messy too: a Frying Pan left on the heat burns and needs cleaning or a soak before it’s safe to cook in again, and a plate comes back from a table dirty every time. Clean cookware matters as much as fresh ingredients, since a kitchen with no clean plates stops serving no matter how good the food is.
