Crit Corruption

HardCritRiskyProc

Crits feed the gauge. Corrupted Drown ticks about 8 times a second at 0.625 proc, so near-constant crits add roughly 10% corruption a second against a 6.67% drain, and you stay corrupted. Drop your crit chance and the form runs out in 15 seconds.

Equipment

Ocular HUD+100% crit for 8 seconds keeps the gauge filling while you transform.

Why the core items

Lens-Maker's GlassesNine or ten stacks makes every tick a crit, and each crit adds corruption.
Predatory InstinctsCrits stack attack speed, and attack speed sets how fast Corrupted Drown ticks.
Soldier's SyringeFlat attack speed means more ticks and more crit rolls.

How to play it

Corrupted Drown only reaches 40m and wants you close. Defend with block, armor and barrier (Tougher Times, Repulsion Armor Plate, Transcendence) instead of healing.
Take one or two Harvester's Scythes at most. Its healing drains corruption, but it adds 5% crit chance too.
Damage you take adds corruption as well, so a hit is not always a bad thing here.
Transforming gives 0.5 seconds of invincibility and resets your cooldowns. Use it as a panic button.
