Common Potion
63 single-use potions, some Self-only, some you can hand to a teammate in co-op
Data from build 23811903, updated
A potion solves the problem in front of you right now, which is what separates the 63 of them from a deck that has to build toward an answer over ten turns. You pick them up in fights or buy them from the Merchant. Most are Combat only and do nothing outside a fight, so check the usage tag before you hoard one for an emergency that never comes. Play co-op and a lot of them get more useful: potions targeting Any player can go to a teammate instead of yourself, so a heal or a Strength buff doesn’t go to waste on whoever happens to be holding it. A handful ask you to pick a target too, a card to duplicate, an enemy to hit, so know what you’re choosing before you crack one open mid-fight. Carry the wrong one into a boss room and it’s a wasted slot; carry the right one and it wins the fight outright.
Most potions are Combat only and do nothing outside a fight. A smaller set works Any time, useful for pre-fight setup or map utility. One potion, Fairy in a Bottle, is Automatic: it saves you from a killing blow on its own, no button press needed. Check the tag before you save one for later.
Targeting ranges from Self and Any enemy to All enemies and Any player: that last one means the potion can go to a teammate in co-op instead of you, so a heal isn’t wasted on whoever’s already at full HP. A handful go further and ask you to choose a card when you drink them. Know what a potion wants before you crack it open mid-fight.
