What every rank costs, and the gold it takes to max each one
Data from build 25016043, updated
Overview
Power-Ups are the 29 permanent upgrades on the main menu, bought with gold and kept for every run after, unlike the passive items you pick up and lose every time you die. Spinach, Hollow Heart and the other 24 live on the passive items page instead. Each rank costs its first-rank price times the rank number, so Might runs 200, 400, 600, 800 and 1,000 gold, 3,000 total to reach +25% damage. Add up every rank before judging a price by what rank one costs. Refunds are free: regret a rank and it costs nothing but the click that undoes it.
What Ranks Cost
The Price Ladder
The published data only lists one price per power-up: the cost of rank one. Everything past that follows the shop’s own rule, rank N costs the first-rank price times N. Defang, the cheapest thing on the menu, runs 10, then 20, 30, 40 and 50, 150 gold for all five ranks. Seal IV starts at 8,000 and finishes at 80,000. Sum every purchasable rank and the total comes to 123 ranks for 1,361,240 gold, with 1,100,000 of that sitting in the four Seals alone.
Buy Greed First
Greed to +50% costs 3,000 gold, and every run after that pays it back. Growth is the second buy at 13,500 for +15% experience, because levels are what turn a run into weapons. Might follows at 3,000, then Amount at a flat 5,000, the biggest single jump in the shop: one more projectile on every weapon you own. Curse is the rank people skip and shouldn’t. 24,990 gold for +50% enemy speed, health, quantity and frequency reads like self-sabotage, but it also means half again as many things dropping gold and XP. Revival’s 10,000 can wait.
Totals are base cost. The shop also charges a fee on every purchase after your very first, sized by how many ranks you already own rather than by which power-up you are buying. It opens at 22 gold and passes 1,000 once you hold 42 ranks. Since v0.7.2 the fee is additive, so no clever buying order beats another one.

The game’s data files publish a price for rank 1 only. Later ranks follow the shop’s own rule: each one costs the first rank’s price more than the one before it.
