Kai
The Shotcaller
How to build Kai
For demo patch 0.5.13.
Take at Rank B
The BoldAdds Tank
Resolute Strike hits a second faster in a bigger area, and after Stall (15) every cast adds lasting Shields equal to 400% of his Defense. The Tank class gives him the Defense to feed it.
Instead
Crits during Rush give permanent Attack and lasting Shields, and every Warrior Crit shreds Defense (Backup). Built for a Crit Warrior team.
Instead
60% more Shields from every source, and Attack every time he gains Shields. Only with Mystics Shielding him (Grace with The Radiant is the classic partner).
Rank modifiers to take at A and S
Front-row Warrior. Resolute Strike hits everything around him, so put him where enemies can surround him.
Starting Ability

activeCasts at 105 Mana
Charge up a mighty attack, gaining 300 (+400% , +250% ) Shields. After 2 seconds, deal 100 (+150% ) damage plus bonus damage equal to Kai's remaining Shields to surrounding enemies.

Lore
One of the guild's shotcallers. He leads on charm more than rank, and keeps the team together when a fight turns. He made his name soloing a guardian before his squad could catch up, and he's been pushing past what the playbook recommends ever since.
The Hunt does steady work, and steady bores him. Yours looks like the one that won't play it safe.
