Why the core items

Alien Head25% cooldown cut per stack makes every skill here come back faster.
BandolierResets cooldowns on kill, Ruin included.
Hardlight AfterburnerHardlight Afterburner adds 2 Shadowfade charges and cuts its cooldown by 33%, so more heals.
BrainstalksBrainstalks: kill an elite and every skill has no cooldown for a few seconds.
Lysate CellLysate Cell gives Ruin an extra charge and cuts its cooldown by 33%.

How to play it

While Ruin is on cooldown your attacks don't add stacks. Detonating early costs you the next build-up.
Drones and other allies' damage never applies Ruin. It only counts when you do the hitting.
Sync Shadowfade with Ruin's cooldown, and reposition while the stacks rebuild.
