Each inspiration track counts one kind of work, like finishing marble plates or catching fish, and the level goals climb as you go (Marble Madness asks for 5, 15, 30, 50, then 100). Claiming a level costs Faith, which is 0 on 58 of the 382 levels, and pays talent exp into the track's tree. The first talent point takes 2 exp, the next 3, then 4, and 5 each from there on. Most levels pay 1 exp, so points come slowly.
Actions feed the counter. A craft finishing, a tree felled, a fish caught, a Study Table survey or a sermon can each add to a track. A level is done when the counter reaches its goal, but you still have to claim it.
Claiming costs Faith, and the first level of many tracks costs none. The payout is talent exp in the track's tree. Higher levels cost more Faith, so a track costs you more the further you push it.
Exp does not become points one for one. The curve below shows how much each tree needs for its next point, starting at 2 exp and settling at 5. Points then buy Keeper talents in that tree.
| Talent point | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5+ |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Exp needed | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 5 each |
A track appears once its locks are met. That can be a tech you've learned, a quest you've finished, or an earlier inspiration level you've claimed.
